Changes ahead in the active work

On this page, we will share news about the change when MiB International project comes to end in August 2024. As the International project closes up, we will transition all the English actives to the local chapters during the spring 2024.

We invite all of you to join the multilingual group of mothers in local chapters and continue making English activities to mothers in Finland with us.

During the spring, we are securing a smooth transition to a new normal together with actives and MiB. We will work together to find a sustainable solution that has the opportunity to succeed after the project is complete. Together we can make this work!

Join meetings & mingle with other actives

Save the dates in your calendar for the upcoming meetings of Uusimaa branch. All actives are welcome to join:

What will English activities look like in the future?

As a MiB active, you have a great deal to say about what the activities look like. Actives will put together the activities according to their interest - career, family & work, area of expertise - you name it.

In a group of multilingual volunteers, you will get to network with other professionals and share your skills and ideas with other moms. This is what MiB is all about.

What else will change? Majority of the activities organized by actives in the future will be member activities. However, you don’t have to be a MiB member to volunteer or access the events that you are putting together yourself.

As a MiB member, you have access to all activities and you can support MiB’s advocacy work for gender equality in work life. Join us to make our community stronger!

Uusimaa

MiB Uusimaa organizes activities in the whole Uusimaa area by 50 actives. Meet moms in a FB group called Mothers in Business Uusimaa. Conversation is in Finnish but you can always post in English, too! We are looking for speakers to our events, English volunteers and partnerships with companies and organizations.
