For us, combining work and family is a natural part of everyday life.

We are a non-profit organization that offers many opportunities for networking, peer support and development of professional competences. Currently, we have over 4000 members and hundreds of volunteers throughout Finland.

Events and possibilities to grow

MiB organizes a wide range of events online and at 16 local branches in Finland. Our events are all about networking, sharing experiences and learning new things. Majority of our events are in Finnish, but you will regularly find English-language events also. You are always welcome to participate in MiB events with your child(ren).

An association full of empowerment

Throughout history, mothers have helped and supported each other. Today, mom circles thrive online, where the focus is not only on family life but also on professional networking and career support.

MiB is an open, positive and energizing association of mothers who support and help each other out in everyday life!

Our active discussion groups in Facebook are home to lively discussions on career and family topics. Our activities are targeting mothers with children of all ages: from pregnant women to women engaged in working life and even grandmothers. Welcome aboard!

Work like a mom - mothers in working life

If everyone worked the same way as mothers, what kind of a working life would we have? Mothers are effective workers because they don’t have time to waste. Mothers are often solution-oriented and motivated, as they consider work important for developing their skills. We believe that having a family is a natural part of life, and motherhood a great asset in working life.

Both work and family are part of everyday life

Reconciling work and family life should be a given, as they are complementary aspects of life. Starting a family or having a family should not slow down, hinder, or impede anyone’s career development. Mothers in Business plays an active role in Finnish society and working life to promote the position of mothers and family-friendliness as well as to eliminate discriminatory and unequal structures.

Motherhood is a constant learning process

Raising children constantly presents new challenges - mothers grow up with their children. In today’s working life, the only permanent thing is change, and we can only adapt to this change by learning new things and developing our skills. Mothers in Business offers its members hundreds of events that focus on the development of professional skills and competences, as well as events that foster well-being.
